DAR gives a hoot about education!

As one of the founding objectives of the Society, education has always been at the

core of the many initiativesof the Daughters of the American Revolution. One of the

most visible of DAR's educational efforts is the long history of supporting schools.

The theme of the DAR School Committee is "Be wise, focus on the future with education,"

symbolized by the wise owl. Whoo gives a hoot about education?

DAR gives a hoot!

Today, DAR is kicking off the Give a Hoot DAR Schools Bus Tour interactive campaign!

In two weeks, NSDAR leadership will set out on a week-long bus tour of the 

DAR Supported schools and will meet face-to-face with many of the students touched by

our Friends of DAR Schools Fund. Additionally, thanks to a generous Daughter, every

donation made to the fund during this campaign will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000!

Over the next month we will be highlighting the impact of NSDAR and DAR supported

schools on children's lives through a series of fun informational quizzes and DAR Schools tour                                coverage on Facebook.

Throughout the trip, members will be sharing their experiences on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
